  • NOVENTI strengthens group financing and refinancing activities with experienced finance and healthcare expert
  • Steimel further strengthens regulatory control at group level

NOVENTI strengthens the finance & operations department under the leadership of board member Victor J. Castro with the addition of finance specialist Frank Steimel. With effect from 04 April 2022, he has taken over the management of the newly established Treasury division. In the function of Chief Treasury Officer (CTRO), Frank Steimel will, among other things, be responsible for and further structure group financing and refinancing of the customer business.

The billing volumes at NOVENTI have risen sharply in recent years. In 2021, they amounted to more than 30 billion euros. In order to be able to optimally control and manage the still increasing billing dimensions and the associated capital requirements in the future, the new treasury department has been implemented since the beginning of April. Treasury departments are established at almost all banks and in finance-heavy companies and are primarily entrusted with overall liquidity planning and control. Frank Steimel, who has been working as a banker in the German health sector for more than 20 years, is responsible for group-wide refinancing in his new department at NOVENTI.

"I am very pleased to take a big step towards the future with the newest division at NOVENTI. With Frank Steimel, we were able to win an expert for the new division. We will further strengthen NOVENTI's financial power in the interest of our customers," says board member and Chief Financial Officer Victor J. Castro on Steimel's appointment.

"It’s a pleasure working for NOVENTI. The group's business model shows the diversity of the German healthcare market, where I have spent almost all my professional life. In the future, it will be even more important to establish higher-value financing relationships that are in line with the needs of our customers. With my combined expertise in the banking and healthcare environment, I stand for agile finance and process management that combines both established and innovative refinancing services in the best possible way for the benefit of NOVENTI customers," says Frank Steimel.

Frank Steimel holds a degree in banking management (BA) and is a certified manager in banking (ADG/SHB) from the Akademie Deutscher Genossenschaften e.V. He headed the central credit division at Deutsche Apotheker- und Ärztebank eG (apoBank) for several years. He knows the financing business in all its details, has represented the bank in committees, in particular also with external supervisory authorities, and is very well connected in the financial and health care sectors. Most recently, he worked as managing partner of an owner-managed real estate group to build up a regulated real estate fund business, where he initiated a successful real estate fund for institutional investors in the healthcare segment.
